Stefano Turconi
Illustrator and comic artist Stefano Turconi studied at the Brera Academy, Milan, the Castello Sforzesco School of Art, and the Disney Academy. In Disney’s Italian division he made his debut in Mickey Mouse in the late 1990s then took off, contributing to series that were gradually appearing on the Italian publishing market. His work in Germany came mostly via France, where he worked for various publishers. His Disney training and French influence distinguish his style, and his work is often scripted by his wife Teresa Radice, with whom, for ten years, he has been creating graphic novels for Bao Publishing, including Il porto proibito (2015), winner of several awards in Italy and France, including the Gran Guingi Prize at Lucca Comics in 2015.
