This information is applicable only to sites and activities directly referable to the Extraordinary Commissioner, not to other websites linked within the site and attributable to third parties, for which please refer to the relevant pages. Methods and purposes of processing

Processing, pursuant to the law, means any operation or set of operations, carried out with or without the aid of automated processes and applied to personal data or to a set of personal data, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or modification, extraction, consultation, use, communication by transmission, dissemination or any other form of making available, comparison or interconnection, limitation, cancellation or destruction. 

The processing carried out on the data is based on your consent and consists of: recording, analysis, communication to any subjects involved and data storage.

The processing is aimed at allowing the relationships between the parties to develop.

The processing will take place using electronic tools (PC or tablet), in order to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the data.

All the material that forms the italyfrankfurt2024.com site, the electronic communications before and after their receipt and the navigation data are stored on the Microsoft Azure servers on which the site is hosted.

Cookies are stored for the duration established by the cookie policy. Other personal data (if applicable) will be kept for the time necessary and in any case no later than the end of the activities connected to the 2024 Frankfurt Book Fair, the date established for the termination of the mandate of the Extraordinary Commissioner and will then be destroyed, unless a different term is required due to the obligation of law (e.g. in the case of judicial documentary productions or orders from the Authorities). 

Personal data of minors

In the event that the data provided refers to subjects under the age of 18, consent to the processing must be given or explicitly authorised by the holder of parental responsibility (natural parent, adoptive parent, guardian) and the Extraordinary Commissioner may request verification and appropriate release in this regard. 

Rights of interested parties

Interested parties have the right to obtain from the Extraordinary Commissioner and third parties, in the cases provided for by the Regulation, access to their personal data, rectification or cancellation of the same or limitation of the processing that concerns them, or to oppose the processing, in accordance with the provisions of articles 15-22 of the Regulation. The relevant requests must be submitted by forwarding them to the Data Controller. 

Communication of personal data breach

When any violation of personal data may entail a high risk for the rights and freedoms of natural persons, the violation is communicated to the interested party without justified delay, in accordance with the provisions of Article 34 of the Regulation. 

Right to complain

Interested parties who believe that the processing of their personal data carried out following consultation of the portal is in violation of the provisions of the Regulation have the right to lodge a complaint with the Guarantor for the protection of personal data, in its capacity as national supervisory authority, Article 77 of the Regulation, or appeal to the courts, Article 79 of the Regulation. 

Revocation of consent

Consent to processing can be revoked at any time by written communication or via email to the Data Controller. The revocation of consent does not affect the processing carried out before the revocation, which remains valid and legitimate in all respects.
