Beatrice Masini

Writer, translator, editor and children’s book giant, Beatrice Masini’s stature can be measured in many ways. Through awards: Bambini nel bosco (Fanucci, 2010) is the only young people’s book to be nominated for the Strega Prize. Or through translations or collaborations – especially with Roberto Piumini for Ciao, tu (Rizzoli, 1998) – or also counting the many narrative grounds where she has ventured. Her latest works include Prendi una lacrima (Carthusia, 2022), a ballad on the value of emotions, the novel Una casa fuori del tempo (Mondadori, 2024) and the graphic story Un enfant comme un jardin (La Joie de lire, 2024), illustrated by Francesca Ballarini.
