Poems of Sea and Hills
Content
"Mare, la tua misura è l'infinito / e l'abisso, l'alto e il basso," writes Giuseppe Conte, originally from Imperia, in a work that, from its very title, makes a solemn vow of love and devotion: "I will never stop writing about the sea". For Davide Rondoni, it is the hills of Romagna which always served as a vantage point from which he has been able to observe both nature and humanity. This unique geographical and poetic contest - curated by Pierfranco Bruni - compares the soulful and verbal realms of these landscapes: the ceaseless motion of the waves versus the profound solidity of roots, the intimacy of close landscapes against the expansiveness of distant horizons.
