In Italy, crime and detective fiction are often associated with a single shade of yellow, as a result of a historical publishing tradition. Yet this colour is far from singular. Indeed, its shades have expanded over the years, as have the influences and literary models that have shaped it. This dynamic evolution will be illustrated through an engaging dialogue with two leading figures who have crafted some of the most cherished fiction over the past three decades.
At 16.00: Maurizio de Giovanni will present his Neapolitan-style noir, transporting the atmosphere of Naples to Frankfurt. He brings with him the world of Sara, former policewoman facing a new investigation recounted in Sorelle, and The Bastards of Pizzofalcone, the protagonists of his latest chapter, Pioggia per i Bastardi di Pizzofalcone.
At 16.30: Antonio Manzini, creator of the Rocco Schiavone character, will present his contemporary detective story, inviting us to reflect on the delicate balance between law and justice - a central theme in his latest book, Tutti i particolari in cronaca.
