Susanna Tamaro
After her debut with La testa fra le nuvole (Marsilio, 1989), Susanna Tamaro, a distant relative of Italo Svevo, wrote one of the world’s most cherished Italian novels, Follow Your Heart: 16 million copies sold in 45 countries, in 1994 (Penguin - Geh, wohin dein Herz dich trägt Diogenes, 1995), a literary sensation acclaimed in the list of “150 Great Books” that marked Italian history. She continued on a creative spectrum ranging from novels to short stories, spirituality and children’s fiction, to her latest work, Il vento soffia dove vuole (Solferino, 2023). Over the years, her works have been published in several editions in Germany, including by Goldmann, Piper, Bertelsmann and btb. Latest work translated to German: Geschichte einer großen Liebe (HarperCollins, 2022).
