Paolo Nori

Paolo Nori

Paolo Nori’s style is unparalleled, as a skilled alchemist of personal loves such as Russian avant-garde and Emilian tradition because, as he recently said, “I like two things that make me cry: Russian literature and Parma matches.” After working as an accountant in Algeria, Iraq and France, he returned home, where he graduated in Russian Literature in 1994. After that he translated Charms, Puškin, Gogol and debuted as a novelist with Le cose non sono le cose (Fernandel, 1999), which led to a string of successes with a myriad of publishers. Among the latest works of the newspaper collaborator and professor of editorial translation at IULM in Milan are Vi avverto che vivo per l’ultima volta (Mondadori, 2023) and Una notte al museo russo (Laterza, 2024). Latest work translated to German: Weg ist Sie! (Wagenbach, 2000).
