Davide Morosinotto

A prolific children’s author, transaltor and journalist, Venetian Davide Morosinotto has lived in Bologna for many years, fulfilling his childhood dream of storytelling. A student of Pierdomenico Baccalario and partner in the literary agency Book on a Tree, his over 50 novels have been translated into 25 languages and won numerous awards, including the Andersen Super Prize for Il rinomato catalogo Walker & Dawn (Mondadori, 2016) and the Strega Boys and Girls Prize for La più grande (Rizzoli, 2020), placing him on the IBBY Honour List 2021. In Germany, he was a finalist for the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis (2018) and won the Penzberger Urmel (2021). His recent work includes La ladra del vento (2023) and Il mio gatto ha visto l’assassino (2024), both Mondadori. Latest work translated to German: Sohn des Meeres (Thienemann, 2024).
