Alessandro D’Avenia
Teacher and writer Alessandro D’Avenia is a complete synthesis of both professions: a teacher (since 2000) helping generations of pupils find their vocation, and a writer since 26 January 2010, the date of his dazzling debut White as Silence, Red as Song which sold over a million copies, published in 25 countries (in Germany by btb), and adapted as a film for which he wrote the screenplay. 2011’s Cose che nessuno sa was followed by other long-sellers: What Hell is Not (2014), L‘arte di essere fragili (2016), dedicated to Giacomo Leopardi, Ogni storia è una storia d‘amore (2017), L‘appello (2020) and the recent Resisti, cuore - L’Odissea e l’arte di essere mortali (2023).
