That Kind of Violence
Content
Feminine, feminism, feminicide. Three words, united by a common root, that permeate contemporary cultural discourse, social struggles and linger in the shadows of crime news. A conversation exploring the intersections of gender and violence and the roles of writing in both condemning and redeeming, featuring Silvia Avallone, renowned for her powerful female characters in recent Italian fiction, and Giulia Caminito, a young writer dedicated to addressing gender-based violence. Caminito is a board member of La Società Italiana delle Letterate and a member of the Centro Studi Alma Sabatini, which focuses on sexism in the Italian language.
