Olga Campofreda, originally from Caserta, has traversed diverse landscapes both in her writing (as evidenced in her 2019 narrative reportage A San Francisco con Lawrence Ferlinghetti) and in her personal life, as she now lives in London and works as a researcher in Italian and Cultural Studies. Her experiences are also woven into her novel Ragazze perbene. Born in Rome, Igiaba Scego has utilised her books and articles as a platform to explore themes related to Somali heritage, the experiences of migrant children and post-colonialism. Her work ranges from the 2010 autobiography La mia casa è dove sono to her latest publication, Cassandra a Mogadiscio (2023). Two distinct yet contemporary narratives where the kaleidoscope of horizons and identities is seamlessly connected by the enduring thread of writing.
