In a world of images, illustration is above all communication, the creation of imagery. But what does it mean to be an illustrator today and what are the reasons that drive a young person to pursue this career? The new challenges of a constantly evolving profession, between different training paths, masters and increasingly international and differentiated markets. Elena Pasoli, director of the Bologna Children's Book Fair, promoter of the exhibition; Grazia Gotti and Silvana Sola, co-founders of the Giannino Stoppani Children's Bookshop and the Drosselmeier Academy, curators of the exhibition; Ivan Canu, illustrator, director of Mimaster, member of the selection committee, talk about this.
