Alessandro Sanna
Star of contemporary illustration and three-time Andersen Prize winner Alessandro Sanna hails from Nogara (Verona), is based in Mantua and lectures at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, working with international writers and editors. His works are present in many countries, including Germany, Spain, the US and Japan. Sanna has also lent his pencil to the words of giants like Gianni Rodari and Italo Calvino in unforgettable editions. His latest works include Crescendo (Gallucci, 2023), a delicate story, accompanied by music specially composed and performed by Paolo Fresu, that starts with the shape of a mother‘s belly to describe the wonder of life growing, from conception to birth.
