Carlo Rovelli
Carlo Rovelli (Verona, 1956) is professor of theoretical physics at the University of Aix-Marseille, a leading physicist worldwide and co-creator of the theory of quantum-loop gravity. For millions of readers, he is also a master of popular science. His publishing journey began with Che cosa è la scienza (Mondadori, 2011), and accelerated in 2014 with Seven Brief Lessons on Physics (Penguin), an international best-seller of over two million copies. The Order of Time (Penguin, 2019) was adapted by Liliana Cavani as a film, presented at the Mostra di Venezia in 2023. Rovelli has always been faithful to the idea of science based on the value of doubt. He returned to our bookshelves in 2023 with White Holes (Penguin). All his works are published in German by Rowohlt. Latest work translated to German: Weiße Löcher (Rowohlt, 2023).
