Marta Palazzesi
The list of books Palazzesi loves includes Bianca Pitzorno’s Ascolta il mio cuore, which made her choose to become a writer when she was a child, and James Clavell’s Shōgun, from which she adopted her meticulous historical research. Writing was dream she never lost sight of, even during her years as an architect, and it also led her to study abroad. She achieved her dream with talent and tenacity, unhindered by the hurdles of the publishing sector. Her turning point came with the novel Mist (Red Comet Press, 2023), which won the Strega Boys and Girls Award. Currently, she has a number of books to her credit from various publishers, all inspired by her passion for history, the convergence of different cultures, and adventure. Latest work translated to German: Feder und Kralle (Thienemann, 2024).
