Nicola Lagioia
Nicola Lagioia is a writer, artistic director, magazine founder, podcast author and radio host (born in Bari, in 1972), and a leading figure of the 21st-century Italian editorial and cultural landscape. After his debut with Tre sistemi per sbarazzarsi di Tolstoj (minimum fax, 2001), he published subsequent novels with Einaudi, including La ferocia (2014), winning the 2015 Strega Prize and Mondello Prize. His latest book, La città dei vivi (Einaudi, 2020), an in-depth reconstruction of a murder that shocked Rome and all of Italy in March 2016, has become a podcast and a show. From 2017 to 2023, Lagioia directed the Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino. Currently, he is the editorial director of Lucy, a multimedia magazine of culture, arts and news.
