Gallico (b. 1976) is a writer and head of the Fandango Podcast. He has worked as an editor, translator, publicist and bookseller, and lecturer of Italian language and literature at the Universities of Göttingen and Bremen. Gallico’s kaleidoscopic journey began in a Calabrian village, Melito di Porto Salvo. His latest, Il dio dello stretto (Fandango, 2023), marks his return to stories of his homeland, with a touch of noir. Latest work translated to German: Respekt. Ein ‘Ndrangheta-Krimi (Assoziation A, 2013).
