Erin Doom
When publishing The Tearsmith on Wattpad, Erin Doom had no idea how much success the book would achieve. From the Internet to paper in 2021, with Magazzini Salani, it was Italy’s best-selling book with over 450,000 copies sold the following year. The author celebrated that milestone protected by the pseudonym she maintained for the next best-seller, Nel modo in cui cade la neve (Magazzini Salani, 2022), up until 16 May 2023. On the day of the release of Stigma (Magazzini Salani), the first volume of a long-awaited saga (the last volume of which, Arcadia, was also released by Magazzini Salani on 8 October), Erin Doom chose to reveal her identity by introducing herself as Matilde, a thirty-year-old Emilian writer with an academic background in law. She is the youngest curator of one of the seven sections of the 36th edition of the Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino, leading, of course, the section dedicated to Romance. Latest work translated to German: The Tearsmith, (Fischer, 2024).
