Erri De Luca
The biography of the writer, journalist, poet and translator Erri De Luca is split into three categories on the website of the eponymous foundation, created in 2011 for cultural and social purposes. First the Geographical biography, starting in Naples in 1950 and reaching the present-day Roman countryside, via working years in Turin, Paris and Milan. Next, the Literary biography, which is vast and multidisciplinary, including cinema, theatrical performances, awards and books, from the 1989 debut Non ora, non qui to the latest, in 2024, Discorso per un amico, both from Feltrinelli. The last category is the Political/ Civil biography, which sees him engaged in passionate militancy and humanitarian trips to impoverished and conflict-ridden areas, such as Tanzania, Bosnia and Ukraine. Latest work translated to German: Die Stadt antwortete nicht (Ullstein, 2023).
