Lecturer at the EHESS, Paris, curator of exhibitions and art catalogues, author of La vita sensibile (il Mulino, 2011), The Life of Plants (Polity, 2018) Philosophy of the Home (Penguin, 2024) and Metamorphoses (John Wiley and Sons, 2021), and a book on photography with Dutch photographer Viviane Sassen (Modern Alchemy, 2022) he has also worked on filming and co-directing animation videos “Quercus” (2019, with Formafantasma), Heaven in Matter (2021, with Faye Formisano) and Portal of Mysteries (2022, with Dotdotdot). He produced the video installation "The Chamber of Future Memories" (2023) with François Roche, Letters on Light with Paolo Roversi (Gallimard) and The Life of Forms. Philosophy of Re-enchantment (HarperCollins) with Alessandro Michele (all 2024). Latest work translated to German: Das Zuhause (Hanser, 2022).
