Mario Anzil

Mario Anzil is Vice-President of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region and Regional Councillor for culture and sport. Born in Udine in 1971, he graduated in Law from the University of Trieste. A practicing lawyer since 2002, he previously served as an officer in the 13th Carabinieri Regiment in Gorizia, a unit that has been involved in major humanitarian missions abroad. Over the course of his political career, he served as mayor of Rivignano from 2009 to 2013. After a brief period as Commissioner of Rivignano Teor, he also became the first mayor of the newly formed municipality, serving from 2014 to 2023.
