In Milan, thanks to funding arranged by the Ministry of Culture under the National Complementary Plan to the Italian Recovery and Resilience Plan, the City of Milan and the BEIC Foundation are building the Biblioteca Europea di Informazione e Cultura (European Library of Information and Culture). With a total area of about 30,000 square meters, it will be a large international cultural hub able to offer the citizens of Milan, the Metropolitan Area and Lombardy opportunities for access to knowledge and digital cultures, proposing itself as a reference point for creating facilitated circuits with Europe. The BEIC will be a place of access to contemporary knowledge, a public learning space open to all, a place of active participation and cultural production. The presentation will outline the architectural and service features of the project.
