Alice Urciuolo

Alice Urciuolo

Asked whether she feels more like a writer or a scriptwriter, Alice Urciuolo quotes Italo Calvino. Because if “there are things that only literature can provide with its specific means,” the same can also be said of film writing: they are two distinct arts that can sometimes influence each other. That‘s how it is, but her CV certainly does not contradict this. Born in the province of Latina on the cusp of Gen Y and Gen Z, she is a co-creator of Prisma (Prime Video, Nastro d’Argento Grandi Serie 2023 for the best dramedy series) and one of the authors of the series Skam Italia (Netflix) and Miss Fallaci. Her debut novel, Adorazione (66thand2nd) made it to the 2021 Strega Prize final dozen and became a Netflix series scheduled for release in 2024. Her second novel, La verità che ci riguarda (66thand2nd) was released in October 2023.
